Rectal cancer is a type of cancer that arises in the lining of the rectum, and it is estimated that about 45,000 cases are diagnosed each year in the United States.

According to research, immunotherapy is a treatment capable of eliminating this disease in its entirety, as the treatment forces the immune system to fight the cancer cells.

According to Dr. José Sobrino, Hematologist-Oncologist and researcher at the Dr. Isaac González Martínez Oncology Hospital, immunotherapies are increasingly promising and are used in different types of cancer.
