Director and screenwriter Fernando Cortés and his wife, María del Pilar Cordero, niece of Paquito Cordero, better known artistically as Mapy Cortés, both of Puerto Rican origin, whose fame through their film career has transcended Spain, Argentina, Cuba, Hollywood, Venezuela and especially Mexico.
